Author: kalirush
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 291
Characters: Fourth Doctor, Romana I
Author's Summary: The Doctor and Romana argue over who's going to make the tea.
Warnings: None
Recced because: As if I could resist a story in which Four and flawless Romana bicker over tea. Such a cute little bit of banter, this was. Spot-on!

Story: Conduct Unbecoming
Author: Sproid
Rating: Adult
Word Count: 7229
Characters: Sergeant Benton, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Third Doctor, UNIT
Author's Summary: Benton messes up, the Brigadier shouts, and it's all really a sign of their affection for each other. Not that they realise this, of course.
Warnings: Explicit Sex
Recced because: Because there is not enough UNIT love in the world. Because Benton is adorable and the Brigadier is adorable and the Brig can be awfully stern to Sergeant Puppyface, but you can just tell they're so very fond of each other, and this story is such a wonderful exploration of that fondness (and eventual hotness) as it develops over time.

Story: Passing the Time
Author: vvj5
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 624
Characters: Harry Sullivan, Sarah Jane Smith
Author's Summary: Sarah and Harry discuss cells, escape plans – and the Doctor’s scarf.
Warnings: None
Recced because: I'm a sucker for these quiet little moments where characters just talk about stuff, and I'm a huge sucker for Sarah and Harry, and they're written so adorably and so perfectly here. One wonders if Harry will ever remember to stop trying to call Sarah "old girl" after all.

Story: Wayward Children of Gallifrey
Author: idelthoughts
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 1301
Characters: Seventh Doctor, Mary Poppins, The Master (Ainley)
Author's Summary: Mary Poppins turned to the Doctor with a particular tilt of her head and drew a breath, but he lifted his umbrella in warning. “If you start singing," he said, "I shall poke you in the eye.”
Warnings: None
Recced because: Who doesn't love a good Mary-Poppins-is-a-Time-Lord story? It's short and sweet, a nice little encounter between two eccentric wanderers, and then it goes and ties into The Movie. Tows the line perfectly between silly and serious. This has made my day.

Story: Soaring
Author: Astellya
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 1206
Characters: Barbara Wright, Ian Chesterton, Susan Foreman, First Doctor
Author's Summary: Barbara, Ian, and enormous birds. Just a bit of fluff.
Warnings: None
Recced because: With all due respect, there's nothing "just" about fluff! This is a lovely, quiet little moment for Barbara and Ian, and the tiny glimpse we get of the world they're on is really quite beautiful, the kind of thing a 1960s television effects budget wouldn't likely have been able to afford, no matter how far you stretched it. Plus, the little exchange between One and Susan at the beginning is wonderfully sweet.

Story: An Unlikely Escape
Author: Lissy Strata
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 1384
Characters: Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon, Zoe Heriot, Daleks
Author's Summary: They're trapped in a locked room with a Dalek. Can the Doctor talk their way out of this one?
Warnings: Swearing
Recced because: This feels like it should have been part of a Second Doctor serial. It's got everything that's awesome about TARDIS Team Cute, with Zoe being clever and Jamie being brave and safety clings, and I could see and hear Two perfectly with his brilliant panicked bluffing. It's all wonderfully silly, and then the end happened and I nearly woke up the house with my giggles.

Warnings: None
Recced because: So many feelings packed into a perfect little moment. I love Six and Evelyn: there is by far and away not enough love for them about, so it cheers me to find a rare little story as completely adorable and perfect as this one.
