Heh, half the stories I rec are ones written for me - but I've just been so lucky in having great ones written for me from prompts or fests! Also, of course, the story usually has the bonus of being exactly about something I'm interested in, and tailored to my interests. ;)

(In this case, it just turns out that I could have been you in the ficathon, cos it's like it was made just for me, heh).
