Colours - Padawanpooh
This week I intend to share the Martha love and the Donna love about equally. Some fics will be short, one is very long.

Story: Colours

Author's Summary: Six interlinked ficlets for the LJ Lifeonmartha drabbles challenge inspired by the colours of the rainbow (excluding indigo!)
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Martha Jones, The TARDIS
Warnings: None
Recced because: I adore padawanpooh's writing, and in this series of ficlets, she portrays a Ten and Martha who are strong and loving and good for each other, even before they take their relationship to the next stage.
Shouting directions to her hastily assembled medic team Martha, already covered in bright blood, was trying to hopelessly restart yet another heart when a cool hand fell on her shoulder.
It was the Doctor: her Doctor.
Martha closed her eyes, suddenly relaxing under his soothing touch, and she let her tears finally fall.
"Oh Martha," he said, voice soft and full of sadness, "sometimes we don't win: sometimes we have to let go. Sometimes, we have to let people find their own destiny."
