Story: Got Sonic?
Author: Lady_Yueh
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 2,081
Author's Summary: Rodney McKay with a sonic screwdriver. Be afraid.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Rodney McKay (Stargate Atlantis)
Warnings: None.

Recced because: I'm sort of tempted to just write here, "Well look at the summary!". This story is just as funny as you'd expect. A 16-year-old Rodney McKay gets to roam the universe with the Doctor. Be very afraid!

Story: Archaeologists
Author: Lady_Yueh
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 501
Author's Summary: (Sort of Spoiler for Silence in the Library.) Daniel Jackson meets the Doctor. [SG-1/DW Crossover]
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Rose Tyler
Warnings: None.

Recced because: After yesterday’s epic, I thought I had better make today’s short and sweet, and this fits the bill nicely. I don’t even watch Stargate (any of them) and yet this little cross makes me madly happy by its mere existence. There is a line of the Doctor’s in Silence in the Library that was just asking for fic like this that stretches its logic to breaking point. And then there’s Daniel Jackson’s uniquely optimistic response that renders it something more than nonsense. What’s not to love?

Story: No Such Gorram Thing
Author: Lady Yueh
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2731

Author's Summary: Prompt by such_heights: There's no such thing as aliens, and no gorram freakish flying box is going to convince any of the crew of Serenity otherwise (Firefly/Doctor Who)
Characters/Pairings: Ace McShane, Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, Rose Tyler, The Doctor (10th), The Doctor (3rd), The Doctor (4th), The Doctor (7th), The Doctor (8th), The Doctor (9th)
Warnings: None

Recced because:

Doctor Who is one of those shows that was MADE for cross-over fics. It can be incredibly difficult, however, to write cross-overs which are true to the spirit of all represented source material. No Such Gorram Thing succeeds in this task marvellously. All of the members of Serenity’s crew are perfectly sketched in this series of short vignettes. All of the Doctors (and companions) are perfectly drawn as well, and the interactions between the different characters are utterly natural, sometimes hilarious, and occasionally heartbreaking.

Hello everyone! I'm back for another round of reccing. A mix of crossovers and other pieces of excellence.

Starting off with one that I didn't rec last time because it wasn't up on Teaspoon at that time (though it had been posted elsewhere last year).

Story: The Wooded World of Worlds
Author: [livejournal.com profile] ladyyueh
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1366
Author's Summary: There exists a place where trees grow tall. [Narnia/DW Crossover]
Characters/Pairings: The Doctor (9th)
Warnings: None

Recced because: One wouldn't think that Narnia is the kind of thing that could be crossed over with Doctor Who, or if they were, then the result would be silly. But this story captures them both where they intersect best -- in the deep and the mythical. Here we have the 9th Doctor, post-Time War, trying to lose himself in the peace and forgetfulness of the Wood Between the Worlds... and then he is visited by a Lion. This resonates so well; sad and beautiful, with a touch of hope.
