;Sorry about that last rec attempt. I just joined this community and haven't had time to go back and read all the previous recs. If this one has been made already I'm afraid it will just have to be a "you suck at this" moment because I have to leave my internet connection in roughly...five minutes. Ok, enjoy hopefully.

Story: Twelve Years in Twelve Days
Author: Siani
Rating: PG
Word Count: 18,439
Author's Summary:Twelve days from twelve years of waiting, or, What Amelia Pond did for Five Minutes.
Characters/Pairings: Amy, Rory, Eleventh Doctor
Warnings: None

Recced because: I wanted to post something that focuses on Amy, and this one I thought really captured the balance between "Amelia" and "Amy" very well. I was drawn in and read it straight through.

Story: Dirge Without Music
Author: mamfidd82
Rating: PG
Word Count: 2,777
Author's Summary:Dealing with grief, rage, thwarted hope and blame - not exactly the Doctor's forte. Spoilers for S4.06
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Jenny
Warnings: None

Recced because: Although The Doctor's Daughter wasn't a perfect episode it brought up a lot of really interesting themes. I love the way this story presents the idea that some of the things that make the Doctor a character we love can also make him dysfunctional in many ways. The story is somewhat depressing, but it leaves me at least more thoughtful than sad. Well written and worth a read in my opinion.

I don't have internet access at home and this lovely snow storm is making it challenging to travel but I'm going to do my best to post each day!

Story: Knight Pandorica
Author: pocketmouse
Rating: PG
Word Count: 958
Author's Summary: People really have the wrong opinion of the Centurion.
Characters/Pairings: Rory Williams mentions of Amy/Rory
Warnings: None

Recced because: This fic may be short but it manages to explore a lot of the questions brought up by Rory's decision to wait with the Pandorica for Amy. I love it because it manages to keep some of Rory's humor and personality while giving him a voice that reflects the fact that he's seen 2,000 years of history more or less on his own. Most of all I love the fact that it portrays Rory as being self-aware enough to realize that in his position Amy wouldn't have done the same thing without it taking away from his own choice. Basically it's a great character study for Rory, and in my opinion you can never have too many of those.

Hey everybody! My name's Taryn aka pink_flame_87 and I'll be posting some recs this week. I'm going to come clean about something right now-although I've come to love a wide variety of Doctor Who themed fics, my first love was Doctor/Rose fics. I'm going to recommend lots of fics this week that have nothing to do with that pairing, but I thought why not start out with a fic that I think dispels a lot of the worst preconceptions about Doctor/Rose shipping fics. Enjoy!

Story: In Human Hands
Author: rallalon
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 159,675
Author's Summary: It's as good as any city to be swallowed up in, Barcelona. Now if only he could get this little blonde pest of a tourist to leave him alone.
Characters/Pairings: Doctor/Rose
Warnings: please DO NOT warn for slash or het. None

Recced because: This fic isn't complete, but it's updated regularly and has 23 long chapters to get you started. It features a fob watched nine, excellent writing, a unique storytelling style, and lots of great subtle references to the old series (and even the 96 movie) for those looking out for them. It is technically Doctor/Rose but works completely as a novel in it's own right.
