Recced because: It's a funny, sweet but not sappy, inevitably melancholy story of one of my favorite companions who wasn't--Mrs. Moore from "Rise of the Cybermen"/"Age of Steel"--and her too-brief acquaintance with the Doctor. I like the amusing little details of life in the Cyberverse, and the sparky dialogue between her and Ten, and the underlying tension and fear that neither of them can quite disguise. Perfectly and concisely encapsulates how things could have been between these two characters, which made me all sad at the very non-fixit ending. Still, you know, they'll always have the Male Nurse.

I loved Mrs. Moore and got highly peeved when they killed her off (however high the odds actually were against her survival, considering), so I was all happy to find this story. :-)
