Author's Summary: Written for LJ's tardis_gen, for the prompt: Tegan Jovanka in the Year than Never Was. In which Tegan misses the Doctor.

Recced because: Martha couldn't have been the only of the Doctor's companions willing to fight for him during the Year That Never Was, and Tegan, who's always been half on alert for the Master to turn up again, ends up joining the resistance by default when she's recognized by a Toclafane. It isn't the first time she's had to support what she considers to be a half-assed plan of the Doctor's, but she knows the consequences of letting the Master win, and fights along with the tattered remains of UNIT to bring down Saxon – quite by accident, restoring her own faith in the Doctor as well.
