Rec: Antifreeze by Calapine
Story: Antifreeze
Author: Calapine
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1194
Author's summary: A Time Lord and an anthropomorphic personification walk into a bar…
Characters: Ten, other character
Warnings: none
Recced because: Ten and Death meet in a bar, post-Doomsday. This short fic has some absolutely brilliant dialog and it never fails to make me laugh. Not convinced? Here's an excerpt:
“Death, old buddy, old pal, you are my very, very best friend.”
Death raised an eyebrow. “Exactly how much did you have before I got here?”
The Doctor seemed not to hear, and continued, “My very best friend. But you do have this very unfortunate tendency to kill all my other friends. And, I have to admit, that makes me quite, quite sad. And hubristic. World shatteringly hubristic.“
