So pretty much every story Netgirl_y2k's ever written has been recced here already-- but not every story. And not this story, which should be and probably is a crime! Lucky for you guys though I'm here now, and lying to the police for you fixing that.

Characters/Pairings: the Tenth Doctor, Micky Smith, Rhys Williams.

Recced because: this story is wonderfully funny, which should be reason enough. Add on to that Micky and Rhys, who are solid, decent, normal guys and also pretty much the embodiment of the mundane lives their girlfriends are trying to escape from, throw the two blokes into the TARDIS with the poor, poor Doctor, who is much more used to hanging out with admiring women, and you've got pure gold.
“Look, I don’t think you’re following me,” said the Doctor, starting to get annoyed. This was the TARDIS, the last TARDIS in the universe. It was more than just very nice. “It can go anywhere in time, past or future. I’ll prove it, pick anywhere in history and I’ll take you there.”
Rhys mused on this for a moment. “The last time Wales won the six nations.”
The Doctor was thoroughly unimpressed. “That was only a few years ago.”
“I know. I couldn’t get a ticket.”
