Recced because: This story takes us through seven vignettes depicting a few of the Doctor's important relationships. At a first glance it looks deceptively simple, but scratch the surface and you realise it actually hides quite a lot of insight. Together, the seven snippets form a whole that somehow manages to make me smile and break my heart a little at the same time.

I whole-heartedly second this rec. It really is a wonderful story, and I was going to rec it myself the next time I did Calufrax. I'm not surprised that someone beat me to it, though. Great choice!

Yeah, it really caught my attention when I found it awhile back. It wasn't what I expected, and I like to be surprised.
