Recced because: It's a lovely long story with an interesting plot about the people of the planet Lindos and what's being done to them. There's plenty for the Doctor, Sarah and Harry to do in it, using their particular skills. The characterisation of the three main characters is spot on and the original characters and their races are fleshed out and interesting.

Recced because: Although this fic is part of a series, this is the one I read first, so it's not necessary to understand who all the original characters are to enjoy this. And the original characters are a large part of the enjoyment. They're interesting and three dimensional and make you want to know more about them. The other reason I like this fic is the plot. It's a very Doctor Who-like plot, interestingly introduced and unfolded and solved. The fic also has its amusing moments, as in the excerpt, contrasted with the sad moments.
