Rec: And Then There Was One by SpaceTimeConundrum

Word Count: 37019
Author's Summary: The end and aftermath of the Last Great Time War in the Pete's World Universe. Gallifrey falls, the Doctor is lost, and a killer is lurking among the residents of a town on the edge of the Canadian wilderness. Alt!Five's story.

rec: Turned by johne

Going to try and squeeze in one last rec. :)

Story: Turned
Author: johne
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 1450
Author's Summary: Section-Leader Watkins' prisoner seems to know far too much about her.
Characters/Pairings: Zoe Heriot, Isobel Watkins (from The Invasion)
Warnings: None

Recced because: This fic was published only a few days ago, but its concept already got my attention. Not only does it have an interesting premise (if Zoe had stayed with the Doctor up until the events of Inferno) but the dialogue is very in-character and the characterization of mirrorverse! Isobel is fantastic (and a little frightening),

rec: Foreign Affairs by Yowza

Story: Foreign Affairs
Author: Yowza
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1614

Characters/Pairings: Barbara Wright/Ian Chesterton, Other Characters
Warnings: None (but you may need to know at least a little about several First Doctor serials)

Recced because: This is a unique series of vignettes focusing on Barbara and an interesting scenario (what if she had chosen someone other than Ian?).

rec; TARDIS Creche by Pendragon

Story: TARDIS Creche
Author: Pendragon
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2445
Author's Summary: The Doctor has the headache of a lifetime when his former companions are turned into children.
Characters/Pairings: The Doctor (12th), Clara Oswin Oswald, lots of cameos from many former companions
Warnings: None

Recced because: Since the last fic was kind of sad, here's one that extremely cute. i was initially unsure which of Pendragon's works to rec, but kept coming back to this one in particular. While the trope of 'companions being turned into children' may seem like a simple concept, this author handles it well by making the dialogue fit each character. This fic will almost certainly make you smile. :)

rec: Harmony Constant by Rose of Pollux

Story: Harmony Constant
Author: Rose of Pollux

Recced because: A very beautiful (though a little sad) take on a possible scene between the Doctor and Jamie set after the War Games that actually captures their voices and dynamic well.

rec: Doctor Who and the Dangers of Hospitality by SpaceTimeConundrum

Warnings: None

Recced because: With everything that happens to this TARDIS team in canon, they deserve a lighter and fluffier moment or two. This story is a bit reminiscent of Black Orchid; just letting the characters have a bit of relaxation and fun (special mention goes to Tegan's parts) with some romance dusted in while keeping everyone in-character.

rec: Inhuman (and other tales through time) by TheBigCat

Story: Inhuman (and other tales through time)

Story: Kiss the Cook
Author: IrishVampire13
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 2189
Author's Summary: "Please tell me these are actual, proper chicken eggs," Rory told the Doctor, fishing a carton out of the refrigerator. "Earth chicken eggs. I don't want to crack one of these things open and have to fight off a fire-breathing Venusian quail, or something!"
Characters/Pairings: Amy Pond, River Song, Rory Williams, The Doctor (11th)
Warnings: From the Author's Note: " A tiny little smidge of light naughtiness, hardly worth upping the rating for."

Recced because: This fic was posted only a few days ago and it already got my attention. A fun slice of life moment with the Eleventh Doctor and his companions (and cookies!) that is well-written and perfectly captures this TARDIS team.

rec: Don't Fade Away by thefirstintimeandspace

Story: Don't Fade Away
Author: thefirstintimeandspace
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 572
Author's Summary:Age does things to one's mind. And one tends to forget as time goes on. Sometimes these things are silly and unimportant, but sometimes...sometimes... We forget the most important things. Even if we don't want them to. Ian Chesterton certainly didn't want to ever forget.
Characters/Pairings: Ian Chesterton/Barbara Wright
Warnings: None given, but mention of character death

Recced because: This work-in-progress is an emotional and beautifully written look at a 'what-if' for these two.
