Story: A Thousand Languages
Author: Mad Lori
Rating: All ages
Author's summary: Rose thought she knew how it would be when it happened, but things are rarely as we imagine them.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Rose. Ten/Rose
Warnings: None
Word Count: 3301
Recced because: Moving on from yesterdays longish fic, I chose a shorter, more contemplative one for today - since after all, it is Tuesday, and from my experience not many people like Tuesdays. I know I don't. But anyway - this fic is a gem. It is the definition of Ten and Rose, crystallized in just over 3000 words. It is so plausible, you could see it happening. This fic follows the Doctor and Rose through a series of snapshots in their relationship - important times, and all of them beautiful written. There's the customary dose of angst in the middle, but without revealing too much it does show just how much that hapless two love each other in a bittersweet kind of way.
And the last line - well, it just sums everything up really, doesn't it.
As with yesterday, a must for any Ten/Rose shippers out there. And yes, I promise I'll rec something that isn't Ten/Rose sometime this week. Really, I will. ^^
Enjoy!
