Recced because: This is a lovely look into the Sixth Doctor's mind when it comes to Charley. All the reasons he doesn't trust her and all the reasons he likes her. It's short, but very sweet, and more than a bit sad.

Recced because: Because it's such an unusual pairing that works wonderfully. Because it's fun to see the adventures that River goes on now. Because seeing Jenny diving into things head first is fun. Because this is a fun romp from start to finish. Because there's a bit of angst thrown in, but it has a happy ending. In short this story is just fun.

This fic deals with what could have happened to Luke if the Master had taken over when the Bane were still setting up. It's a darker fic, like a lot of YTNW stuff, but it has a happy ending.

I'm rounding off my Big Finish week with a rec for Mel and one for Peri. Big Finish may not have created them, but they've done some rather wonderful things with them.

Story:A Trump Lead

Recced because: This shows the way in which Mel and Seven interacted together wonderfully. The story starts off with Mel angry at the Doctor, for a number of things, but mainly because people died and he wouldn't go back and save them. Through explaining the game of Bridge to her Seven explains about changing the past. It's a beautifully written allegory.



Story: The Sky Was Good For Flying

Recced because: TV canon leaves what happens to Peri up in the air. There are two conflicting stories, both from unreliable sources. Doyle makes a future for Peri that is wonderful and exactly what she deserves. Also the Sixth Doctor gets resolution in the matter as well.

Recced because: This is a lovely What If? fic for what could've happened to Erimem after leaving the Doctor and Peri. It feels spot on as to how Erimem would have reacted to the situation. Braxiatel is spot on (from the little I've heard of him) and overall it's a very enjoyable fic.
