Story: Well Met in Sunlight
Author: xwingace
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 3,082
Author's Summary:
Shakespeare didn't get to see the TARDIS the first time he met the Doctor.  But he's smart enough to know what it is when he comes across it later.

Characters/Pairings: Shakespeare, Madame de Pompadour, Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith

Recced because: If you’re like me and you like “The Shakespeare Code,” “The Girl in the Fireplace”, and the Fourth Doctor, have I got a story for you!  Shakespeare walks into a strange blue box (this isn’t a joke) expecting to see Ten and Martha again, but there is a different pair traveling in the TARDIS.  (See, there was no punch line.)  He is accidentally transported through space and time, where he meets someone else who knows his Doctor.  It is a charming story, with just a hint of disappointment that the Doctor isn’t the right one.

Author's Summary: Jack goes to check on a man answering the description of Queen Victoria's Doctor. He finds a schoolteacher.
Characters/Pairings: Jack Harkness, The Doctor (10th)
Warnings: None.

Recced because: We know Jack got stranded for a whole century before meeting the Doctor again in Utopia...right? This little vignette says otherwise. It is a sweet little story where Jack uses his Torchwood connections to go investigate a teacher who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I personally love stories where characters come across each other in different times and places, and one might not know the other. This fits my little fetish perfectly!

Story: Stuck in Traffic at the Magic Roundabout
Author: xwingace
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 7367
Author's Summary: The dangers of running into oneself had been drummed into Jack Harkness from his first days at the Academy.
Characters/Pairings: Jack Harkness
Warnings: None

Recced because: This was written a year and a half ago so quite a bit of it has been jossed. But it doesn't matter, because it's still a really good story. I think I prefer this version of what Jack got up to while waiting for the Doctor to the one they showed us in Torchwood series 2. Having more than one version of Jack in it is a good way of showing how he's changed.
