Story: A Ghost Story

Author's Summary: Stressed-out post grad maths and computer science student Rose Tyler moves into a house with a reputation for being haunted. She scoffs at the things at first as she has her own issues with her personal life and school. Soon, she can’t ignore or logically explain what’s happening. Her inner scientist is intrigued and she starts to investigate. The more she investigates, the more things happen and she becomes obsessed with solving the mystery of the house and the disappearance of one Dr. James McCrimmon who vanished mysteriously in 1968.

I've recced Kelkat9's stuff before, and I'll probably do it again, because I love a good Ten/Rose AU, and no one writes them finer than she. This story is exactly what it says on the tin-a ghost story/haunted house story, and it's deliciously creepy. I don't recommend reading at night, unless you want to make yourself jumpy and uneasy. This is more than just a ghost story, though, it's a mystery and a love story, too, and all the various plots weave together beautifully. Trust me, you want to find out what happened to Dr. James McCrimmon. Even though I know how it ends, I've reread this story 3 or 4 times because it's just so perfect.
