Story: They Also Tear You Apart
Author: Rointheta
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1,290
Author's Summary: Courtney whirled around at the sound of the Doctor’s raspy voice. “I didn’t touch anything! Promise.” He stepped over the threshold and maneuvered around the dirty trainers and a heap of frilly dressing gown and fuzzy slippers. “How did you find this room?” - Courtney accidentally finds Rose's old room.
Characters/Pairings: Twelfth Doctor, Courney Woods
Warnings: n/a
Recced because: Nice little missing scene, with spoilers for the most recent season of Doctor Who. [spoilers to follow] It's nice to see what Courtney got up to when the Doctor first took her for a ride, and why she seemed so quick not to consider him a stranger. If she got to see a little bit of his past... Courtney is characterised perfectly, and the way that the Doctor works things out by sniffing them is unexpectedly funny and adorable at the same time. Yes, it's an angsty story, but it's not a depressing one by any stretch.
