First off:

Story: Mysterious Ways
Author: Aenaria
Rating: Adult
Word Count:57076
Author's Summary:She's been lost, found the key, unlocked the door to the universe, wandered about, took a detour, stopped, stopped some more, then started again. Now, finally, Rose Tyler is on her way home. The Sonnetsverse reunion story. Diverges from S4 canon after 'The Unicorn and the Wasp'. Please note rating change for Chapter 15.
Characters/Pairings: Ten/Rose, Donna, Martha, Original Characters
Warnings: Explicit Sex, Swearing
Recced because: This is actually the penultimate story in a 'verse called "Sonnets Writ on Skin," which you don't HAVE to read to get this, but I highly reccomend you do, cause it's amazing. This is my favorite reunion fic of all time. Rose has a little sister named Gemma, and Gemma and a few other original charcters really make everything pop. They way the story unfolds it just gorgeous, and I can't say enough about it.

Story: A View From the Door
Author: Aenaria/[livejournal.com profile] io_aenaria
Rating: Listed as All Ages, but I'll give it Teen for safety's sake
Word Count: 5131
Author's Summary: On the third day, Zuleika interviews an interesting girl of about her own age. She appears to be just the same as every other neo-human that has come through their doors, but something’s strange about her. She suspects it’s not just the dyed blonde hair either.
Characters/Pairings: Ten, Rose, OCs, Ten/Rose
Warnings: Minor sexual situations

This is a really lovely and thoughtful story, in part due to the third person narration from an original character's point of view. Zuleika is a novitiate at The Sisters of the Hallowed Words, an alien abbey. The story unfolds after a battle gone wrong, during which time Rose and the Doctor were separated.

The author really put a lot of time into creating the OCs and their abbey, and it really shows, especially in the Sisters' relationship with words and flower imagery. The background development and the elegant prose alone make this story well worth the read, but on top of that, there's also a delicately referenced love story running through it all.

Hello hello hello! Seems I'm one of the reccers this week, so I'm going to be engulfing you in Doctor/Rose, Bad Wolf fics, and maybe some old school too.

There we go. ^^
I'll start out with one of my personal favourites:

Story: Salva Nos
Author: aenaria
Rating: All ages
Author's summary: It isn't about how he always saves her, or how she always saves him. It's about how they save each other.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Rose, OC. Ten/Rose
Warnings: None
Word Count: 10,259

Recced because: Yes, it's kid!fic. And yes, I know many out there despise kid!fic. But this specific piece of kid!fic is just so beautiful you could imagine it were real. It has a believable Rose, a believable setting, and a believable kid. Charlie is just brilliant. If you need a pick-me-up after a long day, or just a dose of happy reunion!fluff with a dash of angst and h/c, this is definitely one for you. There is also a sequel/prequel called 'Five Nights' which acts as another dose of goodness.

Plus, 'Salva Nos' is set in Italy. What could be bad about a fic with Italy in it? I mean, come on! ^^

Story: Sonnets Writ in Skin
Author: Aenaria
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2731
Author's Summary: He writes on Rose’s skin in Gallifreyan, the looping, swirling, interlocking patterns inked onto her flesh, preserving their story for the years to come.
Characters/Pairings: Rose Tyler, The Doctor (10th), The Doctor (9th), Rose/Doctor
Warnings: None

Recced because: The story is by turns heartbreaking and heartwarming, and is held together with a lyrical writing style that is incredibly vivid and poetic. The whole story is told in a series of vignettes that link the Doctor and Rose together through a tradition that becomes almost a character in and of itself. It's the beginning of a series, but this one shot is the one I keep coming back to for a re-read. Also, the author quotes Shakespeare, and manages to not have it be hokey, which is an automatic plus in my book.
