Story: Of Strangers and Second Chances
Author: lyricwritesprose
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1459
Author's Summary: After "Boom Town," Team TARDIS needs to find a place that will welcome an egg with no Family.
Characters/Pairings: Jack Harkness, Rose Tyler, Slitheen, The Doctor (9th)
Warnings: Spoilers for Boom Town, obviously.
Recced because:
This is probably my favorite of the stories I've recced this week. It describes an event that must have happened, but was never shown. And lyricwritesprose (who has been heavily recced on this comm, and rightly so) manages in a few words to create Raxacoricofallapatorius- politics, pop culture, media and all. And the portrayal of the Doctor, Rose and Jack here is marvelous. If you like outside POV, world-building and gorgeously blatant allusions to folklore and fairytales, then you'll love this story as much as I do.
