Story: Strangers When We Meet
Author: azn_jack_fiend
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 15303
Author's Summary: It's 1999, and Jack is back in Estelle's life as his own son. Something waiting inside the mind of her friend at the nursing home has finally stopped waiting, and Jack's attempts to protect Estelle will reveal painful secrets kept buried for decades.
Characters/Pairings: Jack, Estelle, OCs
Warnings: explicit violence, swearing
Recced because: I love stories that show how Jack might have adapted to living as an immortal amongst people who aren't. The author takes a couple of minor characters from Jack's Torchwood backstory and develops them engagingly. She also establishes fascinating original characters, and then she dumps all of them into an unexpected mystery that will keep you guessing right up until the end.

If you like this story, please remember to leave the author a comment. Authors like comments, even if they're as simple as "I really like this." It makes us write more.
