Recced because: Out of the fics I recced this week, this one is the one that stands out for me most in my memory, but is the hardest to describe. It's a beautiful and really haunting piece. For me it sums up the whole lonely theme of the show, and how the history of the show unlike any other show develops the main character.

Recced because: There are 15 stories featuring on Vicki on Teaspoon, this is one of two that focus on Vicki, despite being from the viewpoint of Troilus. For those who do not know Vicki becomes "Cressida" in the Myth Makers, based on the story of Troilus and Cressida which has been told by Chaucer and Shakespeare.  It's a fantastic piece looking at how Vicki has to adapt, the lies she has to tell, in her new life. It's a brilliant short piece and well worth a read.

Recced because: Jenny and Luke is one of those pairings that has to happen and is adorably cute. ann_blue writes both of them superbly in character, and writes Sarah-Jane fantastically. It flows beautifully and the romance between the two is sweet but not OTT. It's beautifully written and definitely worth a read.

Recced because: Despite being a shippy fic, this fic makes a wonderful character study of the Tenth Doctor. radiantbaby manages to turn fluff into something that isnt just about the ship can be enjoyed by people that don't ship the two. The story fits really well into canon and is beautifully written, the description in particular is amazing. And I'm a sucker for Five times and 1969 fic.

I'll reccing a variety of fics this week, for the first rec I bring a Victoria story.

Story: Lessons

Author's Summary: Just an ordinary evening on board the TARDIS.
Characters/Pairings: Victoria Waterfield, Jamie McCrimmon
Warnings: None

Recced because: Victoria being the focus of fic is rare and alouzon writes her and the story around her so beautifully. Jamie is seamlessly woven into the story without overshadowing Victoria in the slightest but still gets a nice bit of the story. This is a little gem and defintely worth a read.
