Story: Illumination
Author: Sarah
Rating: All Ages
Author's summary: In which a grieving Doctor stumbles into the alt-verse, meets a certain old companion, and takes an inconclusive road trip.
Characters: Ten, Mickey
Warnings: none
Word Count: ~2,800 words

Recced because: Sometime in the future, after Martha leaves him (this was written pre-S3), Ten returns to the altverse where he meets Mickey again, now old, and alone. The voices in this story are all beautifully done, and it’s tied together wonderfully. The Doctor reflects and learns about time, and getting to say goodbye, and the meaning of endings - Everything will be alright in the end, if it's not alright, it's not the end, the Doctor says – and while there’s no happy ending, the truth the story presents is absolutely right for this 'verse, and perfectly written. This is smart and careful and lovely.

Story:  Time and Curry Chicken
Author: ellisbelle
Rating: Teen
Word Count:  1,841
Author's Summary: Sally Sparrow fancied she could tell a lot about a person by what movies they rented.
Characters/Pairings:  Donna Noble/Sally Sparrow
Warnings:  Sex, not super-graphic

Recced because:
Enjoy some femslash this Friday!  Donna/Sally Sparrow is not a pairing I’d have come up with, but it works beautifully.  Donna, sometime after JE, becomes a customer at Sparrow and Nightingale, often talking loudly on her cell phone while shopping, and Sally develops a bit of a crush.  Both characters' voices are dead-on as they banter. The story has loads of great humor, but also a bit of wistful mystery as Sally senses that Donna is more than she seems.  It's a sweet (never saccharine) romantic comedy for those left behind.

Story: The Unplanned Pregnancy (of Rassilon)
Author: LizBee
Rating: Teen
Author's summary: It's the wrong bed, on the wrong planet, and he's sharing it with the Lady President. And that's just the start of Narvin's problems.
Characters/Pairings: Romana II/Narvin, Ten
Warnings: none
Word Count: ~1,500 words

Recced because: Well-written, well-characterized, and hysterical Gallifrey fic – what's not to love? Coordinator Narvin is regularly portrayed in this audio series as Romana's foil, but here we see there might be something more lurking under the surface. From lines of beauty like "Romana, I am not sending K9 out to find your sex tape—" and numerous hilarious skewerings of clichés, to a finale with Ten that's pitched just right, this is a delight.
