Story: Fallacy Somewhere (Or: If You Can't Steal a Coat from Gilbert and Sullivan, Then From Which 19th Century Librettists and Composers Can You Steal a Coat?)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 3,871
Author's Summary: You know, I acquired that ulster from Gilbert and Sullivan. –The First Doctor, "Edge of Destruction."
Characters/Pairings: One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Susan, Jamie, Jo, Romana II, Nyssa, Tegan, Ace, Grace, Rose, Jack, Donna
Warnings: None

Recced because: If you are a Gilbert and Sullivan fan, this will make you laugh and laugh. Even if you aren't a G&S fan (and why not, for heaven's sake?), this is still a witty and very funny story about multiple Doctors causing coat-related chaos for the composer and librettist. The story is crammed full of references both obvious and sly to Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, and [livejournal.com profile] dbskyler helpfully includes an extra chapter of author's notes in case you miss a few of the jokes.

Story: Light Bending Backwards
Author: Spastic_visions
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2070
Author's summary: The Doctor infiltrates the Time Agency. Jack suffers the consequences.
Characters/Pairings: Thirteenth Doctor, Jack Harkness, Twelfth Doctor, Rose, Tenth Doctor
Warnings: This story may mess with your head just a wee tiny bit.

Recced because: So the Thirteenth Doctor wakes up in a Time Agency cell and realizes he's regenerated into Jack Harkness. What follows is an original and compelling non-linear mindf-ck—and I say mindf-ck in the most complementary way possible. Spastic_vision's story takes a initial premise that some might call completely and utterly insane and follows it through with relentless logic to the very end. The twist in the final paragraph comes almost completely from left field, yet it's been foreshadowed all along. It's one of my favorite fics ever and I was very gratified to finally find where the author had posted it to Teaspoon.
