Recced because: I'm very fond of stories that take place in those in-between moments of Rose, explaining why the Doctor decided to come back and ask Rose to come with him. This is one of my favourite examples of that sort of story. Indiana_j just gets the Ninth Doctor. And I love how she explores his reactions to Rose.

Author's Summary: “They were scared,” was all the Doctor would say, and for once Donna found herself wishing he’d relinquish the moral high ground and admit that they were wrong, wrong, wrong, cowards and idiots and quite nearly murderers.

Recced because: Donna Noble is loud, brash, and full of righteous fury when things aren't going the way she thinks they should. Now take Donna Noble, put her in a situation directly after the events of Midnight, and then have her face the people who tried to kill the Doctor. This is one of those stories that I wanted to see in the episode and it's written so very well it could slot seamlessly into the show. I'm actually half-convinced this was a bit that just wasn't filmed, though it should've been.
