Recced because: This fiction is just...WOW. mmgage is one of my favorites. Her tales are always well plotted, her characters gorgeous, her fiction so well written you can SEE IT ALL HAPPENING - and her pacing is beyond delicious. I literally wait on pins and needles for each chapter of her work - and I am never, EVER disappointed. This is a rather longish tale, but oh-so-worth taking the time to read! This was one of those fictions that sucked me in and had me reading long past my bedtime, wishing I could stop the clock so I could revel in the Awesome of the story for just a little while longer. Lost sleep over this - but it was necessary - as I had to see what happened next! Gorgeous scenery, wonderful OCs (and I'm picky about OCs in ANY tale) and a plot that will hook you and have you running back again and again to enjoy. Don't deprive yourself! READ THIS FIC!!

Jack tries to drown his grief with anger, while the Doctor keeps running.

Recced because: Another phenomenal story from a phenomenal author! If you like your fic towards the Darker!Side fate_incomplete is one of the best authors out there for her stunning ability to reach into a characters darkest depths and yet spin a tale that not only draws those hidden aspects to the light, but it seems to make the character more of a WHOLE in a way you have never seen before. I'd like to think that's what sets apart each person/fiction I rec - the beautiful ways they have of seeing and drawing upon even one character alone that leaves you going 'Oh! I have never seen it quite that way before!' - and this author's fic does all that and more: This fiction is about loss and anger. Vengeance and forgiveness. Love and hate. And how those things can become so entwined, they can almost define us. But even those definitions are shallow once you start digging for what lies just underneath. This is a tale of two friends who have lost one another and yet keep finding each other - whether they wish to or not. It is about a love so deep that hate is the only way to wrench yourself from it, even as that hate drives you back to the source. There is no real way for me to describe this fiction and do it justice. Go. Read...you'll be glad you did.
