Hello! My Name is Cally and I will be your recommender of who fics for the next week. I am fan of all eras and may try to sneak a couple of Torchwood fics in as well.
It has been a bit of a manic Monday for me so lets start with a short, light fic that put a smile on my face.
Story: Heliocentric
Author: Vilinye
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1191
Author's Summary: Sherlock doesn't care that the Earth revolves around the sun. Nor does he remember that he once travelled the stars. AU for both Doctor and Sherlock, slightly crack theory.
Characters/Pairings: Other Character(s), The Doctor (Author-Created)
Warnings: If you are drinking a hot beverage, I recommend putting it down as there is one particular line that may induce laughter spluttering. Otherwise, no standard warnings apply.
Recced because: There have been so many great Doctor Who/Sherlock crossovers recced already but I finally found one that hadn't made it through. Vilinye has captured what a young Sherlock would be like when faced with the Doctor quite to my liking. I do wish there had been more written as I love the idea of Sherlock at the academy pointing out acerbic truths to the High Council as well as how he would deal with the Master (imagine the snippy comments!). Of course, the ending is bitter-sweet but since when has Sherlock or Doctor Who ever really given a happily ever after?
