Author's Summary: The breach between universes is permanently closed. After a horrific accident, Rose Tyler decides to re-create herself. Broadchurch is as good a place as any to start afresh. Crossover with Broadchurch.
Characters/Pairings: Rose Tyler, Jake Simmonds, 10th Doctor/DI Alex Hardy, Jackie Tyler, Pete Tyler
Warnings: Explicit sex, and a canon character death early on.
Recced because: Since the first series of the show has finished, there have been a lot more Doctor Who/Broadchurch crossover fics popping up. Closed is one of the first, and IMHO, one of the best as well. It's not a reunion fic though, and the 10th Doctor only ever appears in Rose's dreams and memories. Rather, she finds solace in a world where she and the Doctor never reunite in a man who shares his face: DI Alec Hardy. It's a really well done story, and you'll be rooting for Rose and Alec the whole time, so you won't get a chance to be disappointed that there is no actual 10 in it. Plus, we get lots of Jake Simmonds, who is an awesome and underused character. I read this fic as it was being updated, and was on tenterhooks waiting for her to update chapters. You're lucky enough to get it all in one shot! Enjoy. :)
