Story: This Torch I've Been Carrying
Author: Netgirl_y2k
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1290
Author's Summary: The door opened and out came a sixteen foot scarf. The scarf was wearing a curly haired man.
Characters/Pairings: Harry Sullivan, Jack Harkness, Sarah Jane Smith, The Doctor
Warnings: None
Recced because: This story takes advantage of the TARDIS's capabilities to produce a delightfully twisty set of meetings for Jack and Sarah. The friendship they've developed by the final section is lovely. The characterisation is great and there are some laugh out loud lines - Jack and Sarah's 'first' (as far as he's concerned) meeting is great on both counts:
He looked at the woman and struck his best dashing Time Agent pose, waiting for her to throw herself into his arms. She smiled at him, reached out.
"Don't mind if I borrow this, do you?" without waiting for an answer she snatched the blaster from his hands and disappeared around the corner without so much as a thank you kiss. So much for gratitude.
