Hello, I'm dbskyler, your reccer for the week. I'm looking forward to sharing some more of my favorite stories with you, and I hope you find at least one new story you enjoy!
Story: Time and Relatives in Space
Author: nostalgia
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1179
Author's Summary: The awfulness of being Amelia Song, aged 14.
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor/River Song, Amelia Song (OC)
Warnings: Spoilers through the finale of S6
Recced because: There's nothing better than starting off a week with humor, so here is a story that is just marvelous fun from start to finish. Amelia Song, daughter of the Eleventh Doctor and River Song, is a wonderfully surly teenager with two parents who are surprised by her existence. The author sets up the ridiculous situation and then never misses a target or a joke, whether that target is parenthood, teenager-hood, or the timey-wimeyness of Series 6. Enjoy.
The worst thing — at least the current worst thing — was that nobody had arrived yet to pick her up for half-term and that might mean they were trying not to spoiler each other about her existence. Most people had at least one parent who knew they'd been born, after all.
