Author's Summary: Sarah isn’t used to feeling alone... Or rather, she isn’t used to noticing it.

Recced because: It's a beautiful character study of Sarah, set during Planet of the Spiders. Complex and believable, this story really gets into her head. There happens to be a lot going on in there during this particular serial. The author describes her fic as "femslash, broadly defined" without being more specific (there's good reason for this ambiguity) and after reading it, you'll probably view Planet of the Spiders in even just a slightly different way.
In her rational mind, she knew it wasn’t entirely her fault. Had told herself that many times over. What was it the Doctor had said? “I found a crystal. …Well, ‘stole’ might be a better word.” He knew his own culpability — admitted it, then left to face the consequences.
But, she? She’d been taken over. Simple as that. No blame. Made a mistake. Easily forgotten. All better now.
Except it wasn’t that simple. The mistake she’d made, that was one thing. Anyone could be a fool. But the rest of it, that was something else altogether more murky, more doubtful. She’d handed herself over ...
