Author's Summary: Jack goes to check on a man answering the description of Queen Victoria's Doctor. He finds a schoolteacher.

Recced because: We know Jack got stranded for a whole century before meeting the Doctor again in Utopia...right? This little vignette says otherwise. It is a sweet little story where Jack uses his Torchwood connections to go investigate a teacher who suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I personally love stories where characters come across each other in different times and places, and one might not know the other. This fits my little fetish perfectly!
