Hello, all! I'm a first time reccer here at [livejournal.com profile] calufrax but a long-time Whovian. I hope you like my recommendations this week. Cheers.

Story: About Last Night...
Author: Kittenmommy
Rating: Adult
Word Count: 5,876
Author's Summary: Clara and the Doctor keep waking up in bed together with no memory of how they got there.
Characters/Pairings: Twelfth Doctor/Clara Oswald
Warnings: Mild swearing and mild sexual situations.

Recced because: I started my reccing out with this because I LOVE this pairing, so I'm maybe a bit biased but what makes it so great is you have to get it JUST right, and Kittenmommy really does that, with their voices and behavior, and especially on how they react to this mysterious (and albeit awkward) situation that keeps happening to them. I enjoyed the writing style, the humor, the characterizations, and especially how they took it all in at the end.

Author: betawho
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 302
Author's Summary: Sometimes the best and worst parts of your life are the same thing.
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor/River Song
Warnings: None

Recced because: I always wait eagerly for this author's fics, and I am never let down when they arrive. This short gem is every bit as sexy-fun-cute as Eleven and River themselves.

Story: The Enmity of Ages
Author: Forge
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 1,718
Author's Summary: A battle that has stretched across time. From childhood games, to burning planets, to the Immortality Gate. The never-ending conflict between the Doctor and his oldest enemy.
Characters/Pairings: The Master (unspecified), the Doctor (unspecified)
Warnings: None

Recced because: I can't think of a word to say that would sell this one. It's just...good. Very damn good. We'll let it speak for itself.

Story: Propositions for Peace
Author: Calapine
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 1,123
Author's Summary: A compromise during the Time War.
Characters/Pairings: Romana II, the Master (Ainley version)
Warnings: None

Recced because: Two intriguing characters, interacting during their planet's darkest days. I think that pretty much says it all.

Edit: 1:15 AM

Actually, there is something to add. I just reread this mere moments ago. It's even better than I remembered. And I remembered it being excellent. Therefore...well, you can trust my judgment. ;-)

Story: Little Miss Sunbeam
Author: Dancingsalome
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 1,399
Author's Summary: Anne only met the man twice when she was four years old, but she never forgot it.
Characters/Pairings: Original character, the Master (Delgado version), Third Doctor, Jo Grant
Warnings: None

Recced because: If you're looking for a surprising and different side to the Master, you'll find it within this story. It was quite unexpected--after all, this is the Master we're talking about--but I could still see something like this happening. And I really enjoyed it. I'm sure you will, too!

Story: Dark, Dank, and Somewhat Gloomy
Author: Fayth
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 3,086
Author's Summary: They are out of milk--again--and need to take a short cut. The Doctor doesn't have a great sense of direction.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Rose Tyler
Warnings: A certain degree of spookiness

Recced because: "Spooky" and "adorable" are two words that don't usually belong in the same sentence. But, in this case, apply in equal measure. :D Because there is simply no other way to describe what you're about to read.

Author: fate_incomplete
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 920
Author's Summary: The one thing he can't run from is himself.
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams
Warnings: Slightly scary

Recced because: I've developed a fascination for stories featuring psychological horror, and this very aptly fits the bill! If you've a taste for that sort of thing, then you're very much in luck! ^.^

Story: A Time to Live
Author: Kara Jade
Rating: All ages
Word Count: 306
Author's Summary: Once, we were as brothers. Closer than brothers; I had given him my hearts.
Characters/Pairings: The Master (author-created)
Warnings: None

Recced because: Fascinating and creepy, with a deliciously wicked twist at the end.

To lighten the mood for the last rec of my stint, another First era story but one that is fun and a bit tongue-in-cheek and a bit bittersweet in its examination of old TV/film in general.

Title: Movie Night
Author: Pendragon
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2177
Author's Summary: Lights out! Film rolling! It's classic movie night in the TARDIS.
Characters/Pairings: First Doctor, Steven Taylor, Vicki
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: It's just a fun and very cute scene. It would seem to work as with Eleven and the Ponds as it does with Steven, Vicki and One. There is some self-referential irony and a bittersweet nod in there as well, considering how many of the First Doctor episodes were lost.

Title: Bring Up the Bodies
Author: Yowza
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 2571
Author's Summary: He wished the beeping would stop. It was bad enough only having hours to live, but listening to those hours being counted down by that shrill monotonous beep was intolerable. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust the Doctor and Barbara and Susan to get him out of this situation – they’d been in difficult circumstances before, after all, but that he didn’t trust the justice system here one little bit. It may not matter that they could prove he was innocent if everyone else was so convinced he was guilty.
Characters/Pairings: Ian Chesterton
Warnings: (reposting Author's note): Warnings for execution, and spoilers for Keys of Marinus. I don't know what made me wonder what would happen if Barbara and the Doctor didn't catch the murderers in time, but I did wonder, so here it is.

Recc'ed Because: This one was only posted a few days ago but it really grabbed my attention, just because of the mixture of the mundane world amid the absolute madness of the overarching idea of time traveling adventures, and of course the dread and helplessness and heartbreak of the inevitable. Even reading the warning, the reader is right there with Ian on the inability to process the absurdity and reality of the whole thing. It's dark and sad and horrible, and brilliant for all that.

Title: many's the time i ran with you down
Author: saywheeeee
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2898
Author's Summary: Amy and the Doctor visit Aularind. Based off a scene in "crowns of snow." Winner of Challenge #2 at big_jumps.
Characters/Pairings: Eleven, Amy. Mild Eleven/Amy or friendship
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: I had forgotten how beautiful and poetic this story was. That means that I got to re-read and rediscover it. The world-building is beautiful, the characters and settings vibrant and alive, and the ending is a bittersweet reminder of how the Doctor lives from one moment to another, rarely looking back.

Title: I've been doing bad things
Author: Penny
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2507
Author's Summary: "This is Doctor Zoe Heriot, senior technician aboard station seven. Making my final report. Experiment Zeta is a failure." Zoe's in the middle of sacrificing herself to save the earth from a hoard of the undead when she's rescued by a mysterious blonde girl with a homemade energy-weapon. Or, Zoe and Jenny team up to fight zombies.
Characters/Pairings: Zoe Heriot, Jenny, Zoe/Jenny
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: Ummm... it's Zoe and Jenny fighting zombies? Do you need more? I love the character voices and the humor and descriptions and the frenetic pace and plot, and the fact that the author gives an entirely earnest and believable (within the DW universe) take on the base-under-siege trope with "artificially reanimated corpses". It's fun and hilarious and action-packed and as sweet as sweet can be when your first date is being rescued from a zombie horde.

That'd be me. (Strictly speaking, the comm itself has no thumbs, but you get the idea.)

We are out of reccers as of April 20. If you've been reading this comm for a while but have never stepped forward to rec, please consider it – everyone, new and old reccers alike, is welcome to rec. (Tumblr folks especially welcome – I know you're out there! See below for how you can pitch in.) All you need to do is select 4-10 stories that haven't been recced before and that meet the comm's fairly basic rules (well-written/formatted, no bashfic, etc.). Reccing periods last two weeks; complete rules and sign-up instructions in this post.

Tumblr, Facebook, Google+, and other users reading this: you don't need a LiveJournal account to rec! If you're interested in reccing, you can comment in the sign-up post, leave me an Ask, or email me at nonelvis42 on Gmail. Title: The Existing Scheme of Things
Author: Culumacilinte
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 6835
Author's Summary: In which the TARDIS acquires two more passengers, and there are Antarctic explorers in love. And a little bit of altering the course of history.
Characters/Pairings: Eleven, Amy Pond
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: It's a fantastic historical adventure about the Terra Nova Expedition of the Antarctic in the early 1900s, a could-be-an-episode story with the moral and ethical arguments of when and why the time stream should stay fixed or can be altered. The secondary characters really shine. Not being a history buff, I did not know anything about the expedition before reading the story, but the author did a great job of telling both the history and the Doctor Who perspective in a seamless manner. It is a quick read for such a complete and well-written adventure tale. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

Title: Future
Author: Styrofoam Monster
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 423
Author's Summary: They are not humans, and they will not be Time Lords.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor/Simm!Master
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: A dark, imaginative, and brutal AU where the Doctor and the Master end up on Earth, almost domestic but with old habits that die hard. There is an amazing amount of depth packed into so few words. The poetic dread of being the last of their kind, of fitting nowhere, not even with each other--simmers just under the surface of this story, unstated but pervasive. I love the discussion of Gallifreyan synonyms and tenses. I am not sure whether to be happy or sad at the ending.

Title: Lost in the Echo
Author: PhoenixDragon
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 2812
Author's Summary: When he cut and ran from the Vortex, the thud-thud-thud of his hearts like drum-beats within his ears, he knew they had deemed him a coward. Unfit. Unbecoming material for Time Lord.
Characters/Pairings: Borusa, Irving Braxiatel, The Master (Academy era), The Rani (Academy era), The Doctor (1st)
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: Great world-building, and a chilling and very believable backstory for how Koschei started on the road to the incessant sound of drums. The Time Lord mythology is both intriguing and mysterious, and I love how the Master's downfall is brought about by his own brilliance and insatiable desire--not just to know, but to cement his own superiority in his mind and chase away his insecurities.

Hello [livejournal.com profile] calufrax! I am your recc-er for the next two weeks! And as penance for not getting my first rec out until Wednesday, here is a great long adventure story.

Title: Age of Gold
Author: James Stoker
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 30297
Author's Summary: The Doctor takes an incredible risk to tick off something on his bucket list, and unwittingly sets off a chain of events which will change the fortunes of millions of children.
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor, Clara Oswald
Warnings: None

Recc'ed Because: This is a twisty turning adventure written in a charmingly light and often humorous style that sometimes belies the complexity of the world building and the gravitas of the situations that unfold. With Eleven and Clara at the center of a new world of its own different original characters, mysteries, villains, and unfolding significance in the greater Doctor Who universe, this story reminds me very much of something we might see in a classic Fourth or Seventh era serial, but updated and brilliantly characterized so that both Eleven and Clara shine. Go take an afternoon and read it! But don't be disarmed by the style; you really do have to pay attention to all of the details to get the full effect of the storytelling.

Story: And at the End, a Garden
Author: AstroGirl
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 1762
Author's Summary: A regenerating Ten makes a stop in an Aztec garden.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Cameca
Warnings: None

Recced because: This fic was just posted two days ago, but as soon as I read it, I knew I wanted to rec it here. As we know, the Tenth Doctor held off his regeneration and went on a goodbye tour, visiting past friends and companions. This fic tells us why he did that -- and the reason given is both obvious (in retrospect) and brilliantly insightful. Then, the author gives us a wonderful interaction between Ten and the person who is arguably the first human the Doctor ever loved: Cameca from the First Doctor episode "The Aztecs." It's sweet, and melancholy, and beautifully written. And, it takes place in a garden.

Author: Calapine
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2634
Author's Summary: River Song, time, stories and choices.
Characters/Pairings: River Song, Tenth Doctor, Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond, Rory Williams

Recced because: River is a fascinating character, and this fic really captures her spirit and her life. It's whirlwind and brilliant and glorious, just like River herself.

Story: Punchline
Author: Lissy Strata
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 536
Author's Summary: Some people thought that Jo Grant was a walking blonde joke.
Characters/Pairings: Jo Grant
Warnings: None

Recced because: Jo Grant was blonde, ditzy, talkative . . . and someone you would never, ever want to underestimate. In this fun fic, Jo comes across an average person who makes the average mistake of thinking there is no brain under Jo's bubbling personality. The outcome made me laugh, and also reminded me that Jo was a companion whom even the Master learned to respect.

Story: Loose Sand
Author: schildkroet
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2687
Author's Summary: Torchwood is facing a problem and Jack doesn't want to call the Doctor for help. Martha does so anyway.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, Sarah Jane Smith, Mickey Smith, Gwen Cooper, Ianto Jones
Warnings: None

Recced because: This fic is like the best of Twilight Zone in the way it quietly unfolds, starting with a mystery -- why doesn't Jack want to call on the Doctor for help? -- and then turning on a simple, horrifying reveal. The story was written back in 2008, so it's AU now, but perhaps that just means this happened in an alternate timeline (something else both Doctor Who and Twilight Zone have in common).

Author's Summary: Martha, Donna, Sarah Jane and the Doctor go to a karaoke bar. It seemed like such a good idea at the time.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble, Martha Jones, Sarah Jane Smith
Warnings: None

Recced because: Ten takes Donna and Martha to meet Sarah Jane, and they all end up in a karaoke bar. It's a little bit of silly and a whole lot of fun, and what better reason could there be for a rec, really?

Story: Reputation to Uphold
Author: The_Bookkeeper
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 100
Author's Summary: They think he’s not him. It’s freedom, of a sort. Set during The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People.
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor
Warnings: None

Recced because: I used to not like drabbles, and then I realized it was because I hadn't been reading the right drabbles. Done well, a drabble is like a scalpel in the hands of a skilled surgeon -- precise and incredibly powerful. This drabble, about the Eleventh Doctor during "Rebel Flesh / Almost People," is done extremely well. Go read it.

Author: Azar
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2021
Author's Summary: The Doctor gives Nyssa a way to recreate a little piece of Traken aboard the TARDIS.
Characters/Pairings: Nyssa, Fifth Doctor
Warnings: None

Recced because: It's sometimes easy to forget that when Nyssa joined Team TARDIS, she lost her entire planet. This moving fic gives us some fascinating background into her life on Traken, and gives Nyssa a little bit of hope that there might still be a chance to nurture a small piece of her former life.

Story: The Doctor Cooks (The Eleventh Time Lucky Remix)
Author: paranoidangel
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 3264
Author's Summary: The Doctor offers to cook dinner for Amy and Rory. What could go wrong?
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond/Rory Williams, First Doctor, Ian Chesterton, Barbara Wright, Susan Foreman, Second Doctor, Jamie McCrimmon, Zoe Heriot, Third Doctor, Jo Grant, Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, Fifth Doctor, Tegan Jovanka, Nyssa, Sixth Doctor, Evelyn Smythe, Seventh Doctor, Ace McShane, Eighth Doctor, Charley Pollard, Ninth Doctor, Rose Tyler, Tenth Doctor, Donna Noble.
Warnings: None

Recced because: The Doctor claims he can cook. Actually, as it turns out, the Doctor has always claimed that he could cook. This fic starts off with the Eleventh Doctor promising to cook a special meal for Amy and Rory, and then moves on to a series of flashbacks that show past Doctors, past companions, and past culinary (mis)adventures. Much of it is very funny, but there is also a wonderful depth to the writing, especially in the framing story of Eleven, Amy, and Rory.

Author: MinervaFan
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 4850
Author's Summary: I’ve seen the whole of time and space. Now I’d rather enjoy a good patch of land and some seeds, if you please. Sarah Jane hires a very unusual gardener.
Characters/Pairings: Sarah Jane Smith, K9, original character
Warnings: Implied off-stage death of an original character

Recced because: This is an utterly charming fic that introduces a wonderfully drawn, irresistible original character named Cal, a soon-to-die Time Lord who has decided to spend his retirement on Earth, and has come to Sarah Jane for help. There are some interesting parallels between Cal and Sarah, but the real delight of this fic is simply in their relationship, and in the marvelous character of Cal.

Author's Summary: Rory Williams loves his family. He loves his wife. He loves his son. And he loves his daughter. Of course he does. Except…
Characters/Pairings: Rory Williams/Amy Pond, River Song

Author's Summary: Who needs empathy when you have mind control?
Characters/Pairings: The Master (Delgado version)
Warnings: None

Recced because: To be perfectly frank, the Master fascinates me. This is a scary and gorgeous look into his mind that only serves to increase that fascination. Again, I have to point out that this is a version I have yet to see...but, just as before, unfamiliarity does not reduce the chilling, raw power behind the story.

Story: He Laughs
Author: LilacFree
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 106
Author's Summary: This is nearly a poem, I think, and is a look at the Ainley Master on his debut in 'Logopolis'.
Characters/Pairings: Tegan Jovanka, Fourth Doctor, the Master (Ainley version)
Warnings: None

Recced because: Because I was just going through my Favorites on Teaspoon tonight, glancing at some new gems I added to my list last night/early this morning, and rediscovered this beauty. And I was profoundly relieved to see that no one else has recced it yet.

Anyway. I've recently begun familiarizing myself with Ainley's version of the Master, and my friends will readily attest to how quickly I've become hooked on him. Characters/Pairings: Twelfth Doctor; implied Twelve/Rose
Warnings: None

Recced because: It's a lovely (and all too brief) pondering of the true reason why Twelve doesn't do hugging. As the shortest of my recs here, this story is also excellent proof of exactly how emotionally effective a scant handful of words can be. There are no more words here than are absolutely necessary to stir up a heart(s)-wrenching, beautifully angsty picture.

Warnings: None

Recced because: It's beautiful and sweet, with all the sense of adventures yet to come. Also, this is the only work Coryx has, according to their profile. And that's a shame, because I see talent here, talent which should not go to waste! I hope that, if at all possible, we can locate this writer and persuade him/her to return to Teaspoon and show us more of what they're capable of.

Getting the last one in under the wire! I was planning to only rec crossovers this week, but then I found this fic and I couldn’t not rec it. So the last one breaks the mold. Thanks for having me, all, and to all a good night!

Story: And Indeed There Will Be Time
Author: kaydee_falls
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 42816
Author's Summary: In 1919, Harriet Derbyshire was killed while investigating the disappearance of Torchwood Four in Dublin. In 2009, UNIT pulls a dying man out of the Irish Sea with a one-word message: Torchwood. Martha joins up with Jack's team in Cardiff to track down the errant branch of the organization -- before a time-traveling race of aliens can change the course of history as we know it. (Jack/Ianto + team)
Characters/Pairings: Jack/Ianto, Donna Noble, Gwen Cooper, Martha Jones, Mickey Smith, UNIT
Warnings:

Recced because: I love a good twisty time travel mystery, and this fic delivers on all counts. The Jack/Ianto pairing is so background you’ll hardly notice it, so don’t come into the fic expecting romance; this is all action adventure time travel plot mystery, all the time. Well-drawn OCs, a richly realized setting, a fantastic mystery, and insanely good writing – you’ll be up late reading it, just as I was!

Story: Chance and a Grey Sky
Author: rivendellrose
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 2154
Author's Summary: Susan Ivanova meets a strange woman on an isolated planet. (Crossover with Babylon 5, post "Sleeping in Light.")
Characters/Pairings: Romana II, Susan Ivanova
Warnings: None

Recced because: If you’re a fan of Doctor Who, odds are good that you’d love Babyon 5 (give it a try if you haven’t already!). If you’re not familiar with it, some background will help: B5’s five-year plot ultimately centers around an epic war between two ancient, powerful races who were originally charged to be the protectors and guiders of lesser species (i.e. humans) but differed so widely about how to go about doing this that they ended up using us all as pawns in a war stretching for millenia – first a Cold War, but then a very hot one indeed.

Or to put it another way: Babyon 5 is what would happen if someone set a sci-fi series during the Time War from the point of view of the species who are caught in the crossfire, asked to choose sides, destroyed by whichever side they rebuff, and in all cases fundamentally unprepared to choose between two races who don’t actaully look that different from our limited point of view. Cass from “Night of the Doctor” would be the main character.

All of that aside, this alas-too-short fic is set post-series for B5 and centers on Susan Ivanova in the twilight of her career (arguably the character who walked away with the most scars), setting her up with Romana (also fresh from the Time War) in a character-driven piece that is both achingly sweet and inexpressibly sad. The fic doesn’t flinch from any of the realities of what the characters have been through but still manages to end on a believably hopeful note. Comforting without being saccharine, it’s exactly what I need after all the tragedy. Give it your time and you won’t be disappointed.

Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 2284
Author's Summary: A Dresden Files/Doctor Who crossover posted with permission from Kesomon, for whom it was written.
Characters/Pairings: Ace McShane, Seven, Ainley!Master, Harry Dresden
Warnings: None

Recced because: The Doctor being Merlin is a running joke throughout the series I particularly enjoy, mostly because it’s a case where the Doctor is as ignorant of the rest of us (since, presumably, the time when he plays Merlin is in his personal timeline’s future) and so he’s stuck playing catch-up. Seven is my favorite instance of this trope as well because Seven casts himself as a puppet-master who always has all the pieces. This fic takes a play on the title Merlin and crosses Seven into the Dresden Files universe, where the main character (Harry Dresden) is the black sheep member of the White Council of Wizards, whose leader holds the title Merlin (the historical Merlin having been the creator and first leader of said council). Add an escaped Cheetah!Master who decides to prey upon the wrong jogger and you get this fic, where a confused Harry makes Seven tap-dance his way out of mucking up several timelines at once. Well worth a morning read.

Author's Summary: Doctor Who/Narnia. She finds it ironic that she has never tried running and he has never tried anything else. Susan Pevensie runs with the Doctor through time and space, and learns to love again. PG-13.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Susan Pevensie (blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Ten/Susan)
Warnings: None

Recced because: Narnia is made for a crossover with the Doctor Who universe, especially on the Problem of Susan, and this crossover delivers on the promise beautifully. It’s told in fifty short snippets that are deliberately out of order and there’s a lot left unstated for the reader to explore; though it’s relatively short at 1.5K, the reread value is through the roof, and every time I go back to it I change my mind on what some of the snippets mean. Everyone reading this fic will have their own unique experience with it, so why not go find out what yours will be?

Hello everyone! Thanks for having me back for another reccing stint. This time around I’ll be focusing largely on crossover fanfic. Much like sci-fi/fantasy is the art of using the fantastic to shine a light on ourselves, good crossovers use the different POV to shine a light on the original. It’s a genre that’s often overlooked, but when done right it’s a treat.

Let’s start…

Story: Aliens in the Backyard
Author: Raven Aorla
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 4038
Author's Summary: Calvin is really, really good at attracting attention from aliens. Usually Hobbes merely bears this, but now he has a reason to call for help, and a certain blue police box makes an appearance in a forested suburb in Ohio. Crossover with, you guessed it, "Calvin & Hobbes". Spoilers for "Last of the Time Lords".
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Martha Jones, Susan, Calvin, Hobbes, Susie Derkins
Warnings: None

Recced because: Time Lord!Calvin isn’t a new idea. And if you just read the first chapter of this fic (there are four total), what you get is a fun, lighthearted Time Lord!Calvin fic. Keep going, though, and the fun, joyous improbabilities of Calvin’s world start to peel back, one by one. This goes from being an easy read to a hard one so quietly that you don’t even realize it until you’re halfway through the fourth chapter crying your eyes out, and it will haunt you (and your Calvin and Hobbes rereads) long after it’s done.

And so the end is near, and I'm going out with a wave, but I hope you've enjoyed my recs - and if you've read anything you've liked, please don't forget to stop and let the author know.

Story: Gallifreyan Hand Porn
Author: thatsdemocracyforyou
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 639
Author's Summary: The Gallifreyans of the Citadel are almost a sub-culture of their own. They are composed of technicians, archivists, Time Lords, and many others alike, and among them all there is one particular thing in common... a great many gloves. Surely there is some interest and-- er-- inspired works.
Characters/Pairings: Clara Oswald/Damon
Warnings: None.

Recced because: I love it when authors take an aspect of canon, read so much into it and then in fic, take what ought to be crack to its limits and sell it completely, and that’s exactly what the author does quite brilliantly here. You see, Gallifreyans wear gloves a lot. Could there be some sort of related taboo…? Of course there could. Throw in one Clara-splinter, a young Time Lord from Arc of Infinity, and, voila, you have some serious hand pr0n.
