Recced because: This is such a cute, fluffy little piece between the Eighth Doctor and Charley. Eight's voice is perfect, and Charley's cynicism of such a peaceful place is well justified, knowing what kind of trouble these two are always finding. I loved the ending too, if there's nothing happening, why don't you make your own waves? Though author perfectly portrays a cute little moment between these two characters. Honestly, it would seem unnatural if these two found a peaceful moment... they are more inclined for adventure and challenges! No wonder Charley feels so out of place no matter how sweet it is... A very enjoyable little tale.

Recced because: Extremely well written and plotted, this fic could almost be a direct transcript of a Big Finish audio. The relationship dynamics between Charley and Eight are pretty much spot on, as well as the addition of tension between the two after such a long period of time. If I say too much more I'll ruin it, but just know that you are in extremely safe hands with this fic.

This is a two story day because the first one is rather sad so I wanted to follow up with something light and fluffy.


Story: No More I Love Yous

Author's Summary: Sometimes you have to make the most difficult decisions.
Characters/Pairings: Charley/Eight
Warnings: Takes place immediately after Absolution.

Recced because: She captures Charley perfectly in this moment. She shows how hurt Charley feels as well as the sense of betrayal. Suzanne also shows why Eight acted like he did at the end. It wasn't because he didn't care, but he cared too much. This story manages to capture both of them perfectly in this rather horrible moment in time.
