Story: Brazilian Morning
http://www.whofic.com/viewstory.php?sid=27827
Author: Primsong
Summary: Jo faces a new beginning, content with her choice.
Characters/Pairings: Jo Grant/Cliff Jones
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Recced because: Completely believable story with perfect Jo characterization. This is my headcanon for what happened immediately following “The Green Death.” The perfect happy ending for Jo which also fits perfectly with what we later learn about Jo’s post-Doctor life in “The Sarah Jane Adventures.”
Excerpt: “A finger of dawn slipped through the cracked shutters and touched the crystal, mysterious, complex and beautiful. She blinked at its depths for a moment, then turned away. He'd been a suitor for her time and attention, perhaps, but nothing more. A companion, a friend to travel with, yes, but he would never belong to anyone. He could never have given her this, this wonderfully fulfilling and completely human love.”
