Recced because: This is my favorite 1969 fic. I love how Bob addresses the racial realities of 1969 and how she made the Old Who characters really interesting for this New Who fan. FYI, there is a sequel, but it's still a WIP finished now. It's called To Be A Queen In Bondage.

The sequel is done now, I think. Both are really great fic, but they aren’t easy reads. The way the author uses language, plot twists, and time jumps is a thing of beauty, but it’s also easy to get confused with so many threads dancing around. The pay-out IS worth the journey. This here be fic that make you think.

Yeah, To Be A Queen In Bondage is complete :oD I love that Bob's stories are not simple and don't shy away realistic emotions or difficult topics. TBAQIB is a much more difficult read than Electric Avenue, but you are so right about the pay-out. That last chapter is gold!
