Recced because: This is something of an oddity as fics go, but I like it very much. In one sense, it’s a Doctorless story and in another his presence is all over it. A haunting short story in letters that explores the Doctor’s effect on one family over 40 years. It’s humorous, moving and chilling by turns and it provokes questions rather than offering answers.

Thanks for the rec. I'm always interested in stories that show the outsider perspective of the Doctor, and this one was quite compelling.

Yay. It's such an odd little fic and I was the only one who'd commented. It so deserved more attention than that. It's lovely to come across something a bit different from time to time.
