"Com Estrelas" is one of those lovely little pieces in which, you could say, nothing very much happens. It's one of the spaces between the adventures, when the Doctor and his companions don't have to run... when they can share the beauty and peace of stargazing on an alien planet.

Rutsky isn't so much a fic writer as a poet, and I mean that in the best possible sense. Every word in this story is perfectly chosen to make us feel as Nine, Jack and Rose do here. Peace in the universe, goodwill towards all, and stars; what better fic to rec on Christmas Day?
