Recced because: Because it completely caught me by surprise, that's why. Martha goes back to the Doctor and it starts a little too mushy for my liking but, well, you'll see if you read (which you totally should, yes), the ending is excellent. The pace and dialogue is just perfect and the settings that the Doctor and Martha find themselves in are brilliant.

Funny you should rec this fic, as I just gave it a re-read last night. I completely agree with this rec, as the ending is so very true to form for the Doctor and the DW universe, if such an event happened.

I have yet to read a better one at the moment. It was a little slow at the start but it really takes you in at the end of Chapter 3. The ending is a KILLER!! This is a story that stays with you after you read it and it keeps you coming back to read it over and over again. I re-read the parts I liked and tried to not to look at the ending (I am such a coward!!) but you can tell it is coming and it is beautiful in its own way. I think it is the ending that makes this fic as good as it is even though it is heart breaking. I can not agree with this rec enough! It is just absolutely amazing!!
