Author: DameRuth
Rating: All Ages
Author's summary: Peri learns that an ancient Earth concept can be successfully applied to the Doctor.
Characters/Pairings: Six, Peri
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1407
Recced Because: Colin Baker has described his doctor as the "cat who walks by himself", and in this story, DameRuth shows just how appropriate that really is. This is an absolutely wonderful character study of the sixth Doctor, with all his feline qualities. And with the story from Peri's perspective, we're offered a refreshing view of her actually figuring a few things out. Peri does have a brain in her head, and this story shows that nicely.

Date: 2009-08-07 04:43 am (UTC)Of course, now I'm going to have the line "I am the cat who walks by himself, and all places are alike to me" running through my head all day tomorrow.
Then he goes out to the Wet Wild Woods or up the Wet Wild Trees or on the Wet Wild Roofs, waving his wild tail and walking by his wild lone.
