Author's Summary: On their way back from Cambridge, Earth, the Eighth Doctor and Romana find themselves shunted off to 19th century Switzerland, and a dark and stormy night with Mary Shelley and Lord Byron. (Set after BF's Shada)

Warnings: None. (Although please bear in mind it was written before Big Finish’s Company of Friends).
Recced because:Vampires with this group of historical characters was, of course, begging to be done, but this is a lovely piece and every bit of the Doctor and Romana’s banter here is a joy. (I can absolutely hear Eight on the subject of buttercups). It’s the sort of fic that leads the reader to wind up like the Eighth Doctor himself – dancing around telling everyone else how good it is. (And the ending is priceless.)
