Recced because: The Daleks have a cautionary tale... Sheer crossover lunacy, in which the Daleks find Terry Pratchett's Discworld, and some of them survive to wish that they hadn't. No other Who characters appear, just Daleks, assorted gods, witches and wizards, cats, luggage, Death, etc.

This one is best if you have a little knowledge of the Discworld and its inhabitants, but you can enjoy it without knowing the crossover.

Hey, just letting you know that this story was previously recced on Calufrax. I didn't remember it, but I noticed Calufrax getting mentioned in some of the story's older reviews, and then I checked this comm's tags and sure enough, there it was. By the way, I've found that the easiest way to check if a story has already been recced is with the author tags -- they're easier than scrolling through character or genre tags, and also not subject to interpretation.

Seconding dbskyler's suggestion about using the author tag - I have to say I check it obsessively when reccing, unable to believe the stories have been missed!

And as the person who recced this the first time round, can I say, it's a fic well worth reccing twice, at least! :lol:
