Recced because: This fic, which fills in the missing period in Rose's life during Turn Left when she was looking for Donna, is dark and difficult and thorny. It's full of sharp angles that stab and jab until you hurt. It's about might-have-beens and should-have-beens, and it's never easy or smooth, but it's worth every painful moment. Canaan writes wonderful darkfic, and here she serves up the best.

*blushes* Thank you for the lovely rec. The hard thing about writing anything this dark is that people often don't want to comment on dark. Seeing a rec like this is what finally lets me know I really did something right.
