I was looking for a Second Doctor story to rec, because one of the biggest travesties of the Whoniverse is that so many of his episodes are lost.   Even though the Doctor isn't really present in this story, it is too interesting to not get more love.   Clare uses choosing more appropriate clothing as a metaphor for Victoria saying goodbye to her old life and moving on.  Plus, Jamie helping a young woman with her corset? Priceless.

This was a cute little fic, a nice way to show Victoria transitioning into the kind of capable-minded girl we see in Tomb of the Cybermen (and sadly don't see as much of in later episodes).

Good pick - Victoria is sadly neglected, wish we could see more of her stories. This was sweet little piece, I like how it touches on both her adjustments and her mourning.
