Recced because: (How many post-Journey's End Pete's World fics d'ya think there are? Hundreds? A thousand? Anyway I digress ...) This ranks among my favorite post-JE fics. It's sweet, emotional and while TenToo of course is certainly more openly vulnerable, he retains a hint of Time Lord stoicism in this fic. That's something a lot of writers don't do, often TenToo is written like a normal guy or some slightly geeky guy or an angstmuffin ... this fic remembers that underneath it all lurks a 900+ year old Time Lord. It's that extra infusion of circumspect characterization for him that separates this fic from many other post-JE fics.

I briefly had a different story up for about 10 minutes before I realized that oops, that story had already been rec'd! So I deleted it and moved this rec up a day instead of recc'ing it this weekend as originally planned =)
