Title: Consummation
Author: Jasper
Rating: All Ages
Word Count: 763
Author's Summary: The Doctor thought he understood his relationship with his ship.
Characters/Pairings: Tenth Doctor, Doctor/TARDIS in a way
Warnings: Non-con
Recc'ed Because: A short, dark and strange AU about the Doctor and the TARDIS, and the dark side of their relationship. The premise is sad and a bit scary; that what seems like symbiosis to the Doctor is baser and more manipulative from the TARDIS POV. Despite the asymmetric relationship, the TARDIS still comes across as an extremely powerful being, like someone trying to keep a tiger as a pet.
------
She cared for him, and he cared for her, and she never, quite, resented him, because how could she resent something so small and fragile and limited, so physical? How could she resent something that brushed up against the Vortex like a fly against a window, bumping mindlessly against the surface, unable ever to break through?
How could she resent him, when he felt so good?

Date: 2012-10-25 02:44 pm (UTC)I was wondering why it was getting reviews all of a sudden! Thank you for the rec! This is my favorite thing I've written, so I'm really happy to see it being read (and to see that it has the effect I was hoping for).
