Story: Let Her Under Your Skin, Into Your Heart
Author: Starling Night
Rating: Teen
Word Count: 2735
Author's Summary: Someone’s figured out a way to save lives that involves painkillers, regeneration, and a lot of surgery. It’s not much fun for the Doctor - but isn't saving people worth the price?
Characters/Pairings: Eleventh Doctor, Amy Pond

Recced because: I'm starting off my week of reccing with a darkfic. Just a quick note that this story contains somewhat graphic descriptions of mutilation, starting in the second paragraph. This material suits the tone of the fic, though, which is chilling and disturbing. Basically, the Doctor finds himself in a very unpleasant situation, and he ends up making two difficult decisions. I'm still mulling over his choice at the end of the story.

OMG!! I was sooo gonna rec this! But I'm happy you beat me to the punch! This fiction...horrifying and terrible and so, so Eleven. Him just...laying back down and letting her do this. Even as he knows he should run. And the ending!! Was there even a choice?! The consequences if he DIDN'T would be catastrophic, but the moral dilemma...

One of my fav fictions! Just...delicious, raw, gritty, thinky and perfect!

It was definitely that! She wrote a fantastic fiction - a great moral dilemma and her writing is just gritty and surreal at the same time. A good rec, sweetie - I look forward to your other recs!
