Author's Summary: The Doctor is stranded on a desolate planet and must rely on the help of his old nemeses. The Doctor isn't pleased with himself and this little paradox he created, but the Master is just enjoying the view (of this new Doctor that is). Five/Master is inferred. Okay, so the Master is just rather sketchy and in a flirtacious mood.

Recced because: I love stories which throw together Doctors and Masters from differing timelines, and these two are a fun combination. Ainley!Master struggles to maintain his cool exterior despite his immediate infatuation with the startlingly pretty, endearingly exuberant Eight. Though quietly humourous in tone, the story also deals beautifully with the past and future bitterness and tragedy of these best of enemies.

Approaching the boulder, he finally received a response. "I'm not here! You don't see me! I do not exist! Therefore there is no reason for you to speak to me!" Coming round the huge rock the Master found a man in a green coat with curly hair that fell to his shoulders sitting on the ground, his back turned towards him. The man held up a hand. "Not here! Go away!"

It's a nice enough story, but it has a lot of errors (lack of commas, misspellings, that sort of thing). It badly needed a beta reader, so I'm a bit surprised to see it recced. Errors like that make it extremely difficult for me to enjoy a story, however good it may be otherwise.

Heh, I hate to say it, but she's right. Just clicking on the link you can see that the dialogue's messed-up in the second paragraph. (Though the fic's short enough that it's not all that annoying for me. I don't know why errors bother me much more in long fic than they do in short fic, but they do.)
